Receptionist
Would you like to be our receptionist at the Danish Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels?
Our current receptionist is heading for new challenges within our mission, and therefore we are seeking a new colleague to join our team of administrative staff with the main task of being our receptionist. You will be the person who in a kind and friendly manner:
- Checks and allows our guests and other visitors through
- Receives and passes on phone calls and messages to both the permanent representation and the embassy
- Provides support to meetings, maintains participant lists, coordinates catering invoices etc.
- Occasionally provides reception support to late afternoon or evening meetings
- Receives and sends mail and parcels
- Keeps the reception area tidy and well organized
As part of the administrative team you are also expected to assist in other administrative areas of the representation (e.g. security, purchase function of minor supplies, coordination functions etc.).
We offer a friendly, collaborative and dynamic work environment. While the reception is the main task, the position also offers some opportunity to expand your experience into other administrative areas. However, it requires a flexible approach as tasks may be subject to change according to organizational needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant educational background and/or experience
- Proficiency in French and good communication skills in English
- Knowledge of Danish or one of the Scandinavian languages is an asset
- Some knowledge of MS Office is an advantage
- Great interpersonal skills and team player abilities
- A flexible, independent mindset
Interviews will take place in December. Starting date will be 1 February 2023 (or soonest thereafter).

Employment conditions:
The position is offered for local recruitment with compensation level reflecting local conditions. You must be able to pass and maintain Danish security clearance. The salary will reflect your qualifications and relevant experience. The position is a full time employment offered for a fixed term of 24 months with the possibility of extension by mutual agreement.
