Spokesperson for coreper I

The Permanent Representation of Denmark to the European Union is looking for a spokesperson for Coreper I for the Danish EU Presidency (local staff).

Would you like to join our team during the Danish EU Presidency in the second half of 2025?

The Permanent Representation is looking for a spokesperson for Coreper I during the Danish EU Presidency. The position will be temporary from January 2025 to 31 December 2025 with a local contract.

As spokesperson for Coreper I, you will get a unique opportunity to work closely with major issues on the European political agenda dealing with files in the areas of internal market, industry, climate and energy, employment, social policy, health, digitalisation, fisheries, food, transport, maritime, environment, research and education, youth and culture, audio-visual, and sport.

You will be in charge of daily communication with the Danish and international Brussels-based press corps related to the Coreper I agenda. You will assist in organizing Danish ministers' press activities and collaborate closely with colleagues at the Permanent Representation, contacts in the EU institutions and with ministries in Copenhagen.

You will be an integrated part of the press and communication team at the Permanent Representation, where you will also contribute to the ongoing work with social media and public diplomacy.

You should be willing to take personal responsibility, be outgoing, flexible and a team player. At the same time, it is important that you can prioritise tasks and work independently while meeting set deadlines.

We value good networking, collaboration and communication skills.

Experience working with journalism or press relations would be a clear asset. Substantial knowledge of the EU institutions and/or practical experience working with the EU in Brussels would be a significant benefit. Experience from the Danish central administration would be an advantage, but it is not a requirement.

Proficiency in English and Danish or one of the other Scandinavian languages is a requirement, while knowledge of French is an advantage.

Recruitment will take place under local conditions. Salary is agreed according to the qualifications and experience of the candidate. The position is a full-time position.
